Sideshow - Imperial Stormtrooper

Although Sideshow used Hot Toys bodies for Stormtroopers, the joints are still “very loose”. The figure cannot stand by itself and it needs the display stand to support. The white armour is made of hard plastic and surface of it is not glossy. The material used for the black inner suit is the type that Hot Toys used for making socks. The armours fit well to the figure. You can remove the helmet if you want to change it to Luke or Han Solo head. There is an extra pair of hands that can be changed easily. No issue to place the blaster gun in the holster. I was wondering why Sideshow only made the shoes dirty but not to the rest of the body. Anyway, the figure still looks good and it costs only half the price as compared to the Medicom version (Toy Rating: 6.5/10). You may read detailed review of Sideshow Stormtrooper by Michael Crawford here.

chest armour seems a bit too "broad"? SS joint 101% sure very loose. But going for that kinda of price as compared to medicom, i think not many collectors will complain about it screen accuracy. A good piece to own and play around the house :P

It costs around S$140. Are you interested to get one for yourself??

wow $140 is a good price. it'll be fun to swap the head with some hot toys headsculpt. but 6.5/10 is a pretty low rating .... glad they use sock material for the inner lining.

SS bodies always loose arh? aiya....like that stormtrooper commander will be loose also..

how's the armor plastic? soft kind like medicom or hard hard one?

The chest armour seems very broad. Anyone know if the chest armour is screen accurate?

Sket, if the joints are not loose, I will give this piece a rating of 7 out of 10 :P

Adrian, I think you should get this as the price is reasonable and the overall quality of the figure looks good too..Buy buy buy :)

Joshua - The overall figure still looks proportional even the chest armour seems a bit broad and the helmet is big too. Sideshow used hard plastic for making its armours.

Shin, I don't think the chest armour is screen accurate. SS Version is a bit broad but it still looks ok to me :P

The figure seems proportional to me. It's neat and clean too! Maybe you could use white bluetack to make your figure stand.

Dennis, thanks for your suggestion. I will use display stand to support when I have my own display shelf in the future. Currently, I just keep it in its box..
